This building was added to the list of the forty-two Rolli Palaces of Genova July 13, 2006 becoming a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Built in the 1500s, it is located in the Spinola of Luccoli district, next to the ancient convent of Santa Caterina (founded in 1228 by the Poor Clares). In 1798 the Ayrolo Family owned and renovated part of it. The family replaced the exterior portals with marble, updated the atrium, added railings to the windows and decorated living rooms. In the nineteenth century, it was passed to Franzoni and finally to the Tedeschi family.
Recently the ornaments of the two facades of Salita Santa Caterina and Salita Di Negro have been restored.
